Andrew Fink

Andrew Fink, a native of Charlottesville, Virginia, attended the University of Virginia where he double majored in biology and chemistry and received a master of education degree in exercise physiology.

Mr. Fink comes to the Department of Health Sciences with a variety of experiences. He has worked as a personal trainer, physical therapist extender, and an emergency room technician. He has coached both men's and women's soccer at the high school level and women's club soccer at JMU. Mr. Fink has taught at both JMU and UVA. He also currently directs the Exercise Intervention in Cancer Prevention and Survivorship program at the University of Virginia Cancer Center.

Mr. Fink's primary research interest is in exercise and dietary interventions in cancer prevention and survivorship. Other research interests include 1) exercise and dietary interventions in cancer treatment and 2) childhood obesity prevention through after-school interventions.

Mr. Fink enjoys playing, watching, and coaching soccer. Other hobbies include cooking, hiking, and playing the guitar.
