The HSA Program Welcomes Dr. France Weaver
Dr. France Weaver is joining the Department of Health Sciences and will be teaching courses in the Health Services Administration Program and the Health Studies Program. She is an active health services researcher, and holds a Ph.D. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is specialized in health economics and applied quantitative methods. Her research focuses on issues related to aging and chronicity. She is particularly interested in long-term care use, health policy evaluation, and well-being. Her publications have appeared in key healthcare management and policy journals, including Health Economics, Health Affairs, and Health Services Research.
She has taught and conducted research both in the U.S. and Europe. Most recently, Dr. Weaver served as Visiting Researcher at Indiana University and as a faculty member at University of Geneva in Switzerland.
For the HSA Program, she will be teaching Health Economics, Funding in Health Care and Health Statistics courses.
